Buy a Brick Campaign

Stratfield residents bought over 400 bricks that helped to fund the Four Corners project and they are now part of the brick sidewalks of the intersection.
Thank you all!

The Stratfield Village Association worked to raise funds to beautify the Four Corners, the intersection of Fairfield Woods Road and Stratfield Road (Rte.59). As presented in our public forum on December 12, 2017, the main objectives of the renovation are public safety, beautification, and environmental sustainability. The original design by William Kenny Associates provided wider pedestrian paths, designated bikeways, an increase in greenspace and native plantings, benches and pedestrian gathering places, and ornamental lighting. BL Companies of Meriden CT has translated those design concepts into construction drawings, has been coordinating with the Town of Fairfield and the CT DOT, and saw the project through to completion.

The bricks purchased were used to construct a portion of the sidewalks at each of the four corners. The bricks were installed during the renovation of the intersection, once Town and State approvals have been met in the Spring of 2021. The bricks are laser-engraved and are guaranteed to last a lifetime!

The SVA offered this unique opportunity for families and local businesses to contribute to the Four Corners fundraising efforts by purchasing a laser-engraved brick. Commemorate your family, your street in Stratfield Village, your business, an event, a school team or group, or anything that’s important to you!
